Anti‑social behaviour (ASB) is any behaviour that causes, or is likely to cause, harassment, alarm, distress, nuisance, or annoyance to other people, particularly when it affects the public or a community.

👉 In simple terms:
If someone’s behaviour repeatedly disrupts daily life, causes ongoing nuisance or annoyance, or makes people feel unsafe, it may be ASB.

👮‍♀️ Examples of ASB the police deal with

Police usually deal with ASB where behaviour involves intimidation, risk, public order issues, or repeated complaints, including:

Groups gathering in public places causing intimidation or fear

Verbal abuse, threats, or harassment

Persistent street drinking linked to disorder

Drug use or suspected dealing in public areas

Vandalism, graffiti, or criminal damage

Misuse of vehicles (revving engines, noisy riding, illegal racing)

Aggressive or persistent begging
